Luthara Veyl v1.0.1
Expressive Acoustic Plucked Instrument
Luthara Veyl
Expressive Acoustic Plucked Instrument
1.0.1 major updates out now :
-
Completely revoiced all 17 instruments with more distinctive excitation, harmonic, pickup, damping and nonlinear behaviour.
-
Added the new Model tab with Exciter Material, Playback Rate, Attack Pitch, Transient Level, Velocity Timbre, Pickup Position, Pickup Spread, Nonlinearity, Dispersion and Bell Morph controls.
-
Added a dedicated multimode Filter tab with low-pass, high-pass, band-pass and notch modes, resonance, key tracking, velocity response, drive, mix and a full filter envelope.
-
Added directly editable amplitude and filter-envelope displays.
-
Introduced 16 physical playing articulations, capo-aware fretboard mapping, hammer-ons, pull-offs and natural slide transitions.
-
Added MPE support with per-note pitch bend, pressure and CC74 timbre control.
-
Added historical and world temperaments, Scala import, MIDI Tuning Standard and official MTS-ESP support.
-
Expanded the Design section with Body Studio morphing, virtual microphone positioning, per-string physical controls and optional external-audio excitation.
-
Added Live, High and Ultra model-quality modes, with automatic Ultra rendering during offline export.
-
Added real-time generated MIDI output, performance recording and drag-and-drop MIDI export to the DAW.
-
Arpeggiator patterns can now be dragged directly into the DAW as tempo-aware MIDI clips, preserving notes, gate, velocity, swing, rests, direction and octave settings.
-
Reworked Inspire into a deterministic, bank-aware musical variation system based on curated presets instead of random parameter changes.
-
Improved preset browsing with Factory, User and Favourite filters, persistent favourites and local .lvpreset file support.
-
Added A/B comparison, Undo/Redo and Design parameter locking.
-
New instances now load Classical Nylon Guitar as the complete default sound while saved DAW projects correctly restore their original state.
-
Damping now controls genuine physical string-energy and high-frequency loss across a much wider range.
-
Velocity Timbre and filter velocity response now produce clearly audible dynamic tonal changes.
-
Transient Level now shapes a true time-domain attack envelope.
-
Pickup Position now represents a real physical observation point along the string.
-
Long reverb settings now create genuine extended tails.
-
Chorus modes now use independent left and right modulation for wider, more natural stereo movement.
-
Parameter ranges throughout the instrument have been expanded so every control produces a clearly audible and musically useful result.
-
Unwanted synthetic overtones, excessive high-frequency ringing and unstable upper-register resonances have been reduced across the factory sounds.
Luthara Veyl is a deeply expressive acoustic plucked-instrument synthesizer built around real-time physical modelling. Instead of relying on static sample playback, every note excites a responsive string model that interacts with the selected instrument body, articulation, damping, sympathetic resonance, and incoming MIDI performance.
Its library brings together 17 distinct instruments from classical, folk, historical, and world-music traditions. Steel and nylon guitars, 12-string guitar, acoustic bass, mandolin, banjo, ukulele, Renaissance lute, Greek bouzouki, Celtic harp, koto, shamisen, sitar, oud, guzheng, pipa, and balalaika each feature their own physical construction, course layout, response, and tonal character.
Eight playing styles provide everything from soft finger and thumb attacks to nail, pick, palm-muted, dead-note, and slap-like articulations.
A collection of 136 instrument-specific tunings offers familiar standards alongside modal, historical, open, drone, and traditional world-music configurations.
Luthara Veyl is designed to be performed as much as programmed. Chord Mode includes 44 chord types, instrument-aware voicing, complete all-string performances, individually ordered string patterns, extremely slow broken chords, and MIDI drag and drop directly into the DAW.
The integrated 16-step Arpeggiator provides editable velocity, pitch, gate, swing, direction, octave range, restart behaviour, and 16 factory patterns.
Choose natural physical energy loss for authentic string decay or switch to ADSR mode for precise keyboard-style shaping with releases of up to 20 seconds.
Body characters, the enhanced Bloom sympathetic-resonance control, aftertouch string bending, full-range MIDI response, and detailed Chorus, Delay, and long-form Reverb effects make the instrument equally suited to intimate acoustic performances, rhythmic folk patterns, and evolving cinematic textures.
Luthara Veyl includes 81 factory presets across nine banks, including a dedicated Classicals collection with a clean starting sound for every instrument.
