Uryan Modular Forge V0.1.0.
Polyphonic Modular Synthesizer
MacOS, Windows, Linux build
Completely Free
Uryan Modular Forge is a polyphonic modular synthesizer for your DAW.
Build a rack from 97 modules and connect them with virtual patch cables that carry audio, control voltages, pitch, and gates. Start with a familiar oscillator, filter, and amplifier, then patch an envelope into the filter cutoff, route a slow LFO to the oscillator’s wavetable position, or use a sequencer to make the whole rack play on its own.
Build the instrument you want to play
Shape your sound with classic oscillators, wavetable and resonant voices, a range of filter designs, and dedicated percussion modules. Use MIDI to play a polyphonic patch from your keyboard, or build separate voices for a bassline, drums, and a slowly evolving texture. Live displays show waveforms, filter response, envelopes, and signal levels as you work, so you can follow what’s happening at each stage of the patch.
Sequence notes, rhythms, and modulation
The Matrix Sequencer gives you 16 tracks of up to 16 steps, each with dedicated pitch CV and gate outputs. Edit pitch, gate length, probability, and ratchets per step, set different track lengths, and chain patterns into longer phrases. For a hands-on approach, turn the eight step knobs on Voltage Carousel to build a melody, or use Rhythm Lattice to generate interlocking percussion patterns.
Shape the sound after the oscillator
Send a short pluck through Grain Citadel and stretch it into a cloud of overlapping grains. Widen a voice with stereo chorus, sweep it through a flanger, or use delay and reverb to give a rhythmic patch depth. Effects can sit anywhere in the signal path, and their CV inputs let an envelope, LFO, or sequencer change the effect as the patch plays.
Find a starting point in seconds
Drag modules into the rack and let Auto Patch make the basic connections, or use Inspire Patch to generate a playable setup you can take apart and rebuild. The Patch Workshop helps you check your wiring, learn how a patch works, save scenes, and assign performance controls. You can start with an empty rack when you know what you want, or follow a cable in an inspired patch and see where it takes you.
