Vaelyra Stryn X has been updated to version 1.0.1.

​

This update focuses on a more refined and reliable playing experience. The three large Main selector orbs have been improved for smoother and more stable selection, while the Main macro controls now provide stronger, more clearly audible sound-shaping results.

​

Hold and Sustain have been removed from the interface to keep Vaelyra Stryn X focused on its resonant string, pluck and modal instrument character. User Guide have also been updated for this release.

​

Vaelyra Stryn X is a deep, character-driven resonant instrument built for plucks, struck textures, bowed tones, hybrid strings, cinematic attacks, dark basses, glassy resonances and otherworldly digital-acoustic sounds.

​

It is not designed to imitate a traditional acoustic instrument. Instead, it combines excitation, string behaviour, resonant body modelling, organic motion, modulation and spatial effects into a futuristic synthesis system with its own identity.

​

At the centre of Vaelyra Stryn X are three deeply connected sound systems:

​

Exciter defines how the sound begins, from finger-like plucks and soft contacts to harder strikes, metallic impacts, friction and bowed excitation.

​

String shapes the vibrating element through damping, stiffness, harmonic content, dual-string behaviour, sympathetic resonance, overtone response and amplitude shaping.

​

Body determines what the sound resonates through, including wood, glass, metal, dark body and cavity-style material characters, with detailed control over size, density, thickness, modal resonance, decay, damping and surface response.

​

The Main page keeps the instrument immediate and musical.

Three large selectors define the core sound character, while Tone, Body, Damp, Width, Space, Air and Warmth provide fast high-level shaping. Inspire creates new musically structured sounds, while Evolve generates related variations without completely losing the current identity.

​

For deeper sound design, Vaelyra Stryn X opens into dedicated Exciter, Body, String, Filter, Motion, FX, Matrix and Presets pages.

​

The Motion system includes three LFOs and three independent organic random generators. These can be routed through the advanced 12-slot modulation matrix to a wide range of continuous parameters across the instrument. This makes it possible to create subtle natural movement, evolving body resonance, shifting string behaviour, animated effects and complex modulation relationships.

​

The Filter page adds a multi-stage filter architecture with selectable model, mode and slope, a three-stage signal chain, direct cutoff, resonance, drive and key-tracking controls, plus a dedicated filter envelope.

​

The FX section includes Chorus, Ensemble, Dimension, Delay, Reverb and the specialised Glass & Glow engine for adding width, depth, motion, brightness, warmth and resonant bloom.

​

Vaelyra Stryn X also includes a large factory preset library, category-based browsing, search, favourites, user preset saving, Inspire, Evolve and Factory Idea generation.

​

Because the sound engine can combine several resonant layers, modulation sources, envelopes, matrix routes and internal effects at the same time, complex sounds may require noticeable DSP power, especially on older systems. To keep the instrument practical in both sound design and larger projects, Vaelyra Stryn X includes four performance modes:

Full for maximum depth and detail
Optimal for everyday production and the recommended default
CPU Saver for larger sessions and multiple instances
Ultra Saver for older computers, live use and demanding projects
